WEST MEMPHIS, Ark.— Even in the busy times of hockey season, the “Sticks are for Kids” bus continues to roll into area schools.

On Thursday, November 8, RiverKings’ forwards Nick Walsh and Todd Hosmer made the trip to Stuedline School in West Memphis, Ark. The two players met with students and taught them a bit about themselves and hockey.

“This is not something that these kids get to do very often,” Principal Gale McLemore said. “It’s great to see the kids get up and play with the players. All of the children will be asking to play hockey for the next few weeks and that’s fantastic.”

Stuedline School is a school for young children with developmental disabilities. The school aims to aid with normalization; the process of introducing children with special needs into everyday society.

The RiverKings play their next game on Black Friday, November 23 at the Landers Center. All fans who bring in a canned food item can purchase an upper bowl seat for $5. For more RiverKings updates “like” us on Facebook or “follow” us on Twitter.
