To Our Royal Family

To Our Loyal Season Ticket Holders, Sponsors and Fans:

As we prepare for our first SPHL President’s Cup Final, I’d like to thank you for your support. This has been one of the most exciting seasons in team history and we have you to thank for that.

These last weeks have been some of the most rewarding weeks I’ve been a part of. We had our hard work recognized by our peers in the league with Linden Bahm named to the SPHL All-Rookie team, Peter Di Salvo named to the All-SPHL Second Team and longtime RiverKings Matt Whitehead and Andrew Randazzo honored with selections to the All-SPHL First Team. The next day, we learned “Rando” had earned the Defenseman of the Year award, a testament to his hard work and leadership throughout this season. All of these guys, and their teammates, have worked to bring you a quality on-ice product and it’s resulted in a trip to the President’s Cup Finals.

As many of you have heard, we have run into difficulties in bringing home games to the Landers Center for the finals. We’ve looked into all options, including neutral sites and local options, but due to scheduling conflicts, we will be road warriors in the finals against either Louisiana or Knoxville. We know that this is a frustrating experience for our fans and sponsors who invest time, energy and dollars to see a championship in Southaven. Trust me, we are just as frustrated as you.

We will be working with our opponents to create packages for our fans who want to travel and we will continue our Away Game Watch Parties at Old Style Bar-B-Q in Olive Branch for the final round.

Thank you for your continued support of your Mississippi RiverKings and we look forward to bringing a championship home to Southaven!

Sincerely,

Derek Landmesser
