GERMANTOWN, Tenn. -- The RiverKings' Sticks are for Kids program made another stop this week at the Germantown United Methodist Sports Camp on Tuesday.

Sheldon and RiverKings head coach and director of hockey operations Derek Landmesser provided information about the RiverKings organization and the game of hockey before the kids got a chance to try the game for themselves.

"I have a passion for hockey and I love the RiverKings," Assistant Director of Health and Recreation Ministries Patrick Peavy said. "I'm happy that the kids got a chance to experience this and be exposed to something new."

The Germantown United Methodist Sports Camp is in its fourth year and holds a five-day camp in June and July. The camp is for kindergarteners through sixth graders and lasts from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Those interested in signing their child up for the next camp can contact Patrick Peavy at 901-753-3100.

RiverKings season tickets are on sale now for the 2012-13 season. Season tickets start at just $9 per game and are available by calling the front office at 662-342-1755.

The Mississippi RiverKings are supported by their community partners, season ticket holders, fans, and by program-related investments of the Maddox Foundation, an independent private foundation based in Hernando, Miss.
