SPHL Announces Suspensions

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced suspensions resulting from two incidents in Game #274, Knoxville at Mississippi (RiverKings), played on Friday, March 21.

Knoxville’s Berkley Scott

Knoxville’s Berkley Scott has been suspended one game for his actions. Just prior to a stoppage in play at the 2:18 mark of the third period, Mr. Scott slew-footed a Mississippi player.

Scott missed Knoxville’s game against Louisiana on Saturday, March 22

Mississippi’s Tyler Sheldrake

Mississippi’s Tyler Sheldrake has been suspended six games for his actions. At the 2:18 mark of the third period, Mr. Sheldrake was assessed a major penalty for fighting and a game misconduct under Rule 70.6, Leaving the Players’ Bench.

Sheldrake sat the RiverKings’ contest against the Mississippi Surge on Saturday, March 22 and will miss Mississippi’s next five games.

This is crazy ... we were there and saw the whole thing ... Sheldrake came off the bench for A LINE CHANGE .... not to "attack" the other player .... AND the entire Knoxville bench had been baiting him all night.. Also there are 3 of the refs that had it in for Sheldrake and are quite possible the WORSE at calling games in ANY SPORT !!! They should have been fired at mid season ...
