OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. -- The Mississippi RiverKings' very own tremendous turtle Sheldon made multiple trips out to Longview Heights Baptist Church to visit with the children at Camp BOLD on June 24, and July 8 and 15.

Sheldon passed around high fives, hugs, and posed for his close up with the campers. They also practiced shots on goal, passing, and teamwork through different drills.

"Camp B.O.L.D. is a camp for children with disabilities, particularly autism," said Camp Director Rebecca Treadway. "Each camper is paired with a peer counselor, and together they enjoy several activities such as art, music, moon bounces, and even hockey."

Children from all over the Northern Mississippi area attend Camp BOLD, which is held through the Integrated Health Clinic located in Southaven, Mississippi. Three different week-long sessions are offered for ages 3 through high school.

If you would like Sheldon to visit your school or event, please contact Caitlyn Hutchins at Caitlyn@riverkings.com or 662.342.1755.
