HERNANDO, Miss.—RiverKings mascot Sheldon the turtle made an appearance at the Hernando High School Homecoming Parade on September 18.

Gearing up for the upcoming season, Sheldon waved and took pictures with fans that were in attendance.

"Every year the parade is a fun way for the community to come together to support our youth, and every year without fail Hernando can count on the RiverKings,” said parade coordinator Margaret Hicks. "It never seems to matter how short the notice or how bad the threat of weather, The RiverKings are going to be in our parade, and we love that show of community involvement"

“DeSoto County really is a tight knit community and the RiverKings are one of those threads that weave us all together."

If you would like Sheldon to visit your school or event, please contact Caitlyn Hutchins at Caitlyn@riverkings.com or 662.342.1755.
