HERNANDO, Miss. -- Mississippi RiverKings' mascot, Sheldon the Turtle, made his way back home to the great outdoors with the North Mississippi District Cub Scouts at Camp Currier on July 10.

Sheldon helped give a quick lesson on the basics of hockey and teamwork to the Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelo campers before cheering on scrimmages of 6-on-6. The Scouts made Sheldon feel right at home singing some of their favorite campfire songs while visiting and taking pictures.

Camp Currier's facility is located off of Mississippi 304 in Eudora, Mississippi. The site serves as a popular year long campground for Mid South area Scouts, as well as offers many summer programs like their Cubstein Day Camp.

If you would like Sheldon to visit your school or event, please contact Caitlyn Hutchins at Caitlyn@riverkings.com or 662.342.1755.
