RiverThing helps collect donations for Le Bohheur's cereal drive

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Mississippi RiverKings mascot, RiverThing, helped raise money for Le Bonheur's fifth annual cereal drive benefiting the Mid-South Food Bank on Friday, June 3.

"Thank you [RiverKings organization] so much for coming out and volunteering today. We are so glad you could make it because every little bit helps," said Mid-South Food Bank's community relations manager David Stephens. "Just $1 feeds 3 kids and we are so thankful to have volunteers like the RiverKings come out."

The Le Bonheur cereal drive is in collaboration with the Mid-South Food Bank and the Boy Scouts of America. Le Bonheur has been hosting this cereal drive for five years now. Donations are collected by volunteers and as of Friday morning, over $2,500 had been raised to feed hungry children.
