RiverKings visit Harding Academy for "Sticks Are For Kids"

CORDOVA, Tenn. – The Mississippi RiverKings made their final appearance for the summer at the Harding Academy in Cordova.

During the visits to the Harding Academy in Cordova, campers were taught the basics of hockey, such as how to properly hold a hockey stick, how to move with the ball, and how to shoot and score. All of the fundamentals were taught in an environment that promoted fair play, teamwork and great sportsmanship.

Camp Director Jane Hassan had this to say when asked about the camper’s experiences during the program, “We had an incredible experience working with the RiverKings this summer! The campers looked forward to your visits every week. I will invite the RiverKings to come back next summer without hesitation.”

The "Sticks Are For Kids" program gives children the opportunity to play hockey at local camps and schools in the Mid-South. For many participants, it is their first opportunity to play hockey.  If you are interested in having the RiverKings out to your camp next summer, contact the RiverKings at 662-253-0151.
