RiverKings to play on Concorde Career College Ice

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. – The Mississippi RiverKings, the longest continually operating professional sports franchise in the greater Memphis area, are proud to announce that they will play their home games on Concorde Career College Ice at the Landers Center during the 2015-16 season.

"We are proud to sponsor an organization like the RiverKings," said Chris Burgio, the Southaven Campus Director. "The RiverKings have been giving back to the surrounding community for over two decades and they believe in serving the community around them. Concorde has the same beliefs. Concorde strives toward making the community in which they serve better by producing quality healthcare workers. We are honored to have the opportunity to sponsor the ice that the team will play on this season and have our name proudly displayed next to the RiverKings."

“Concorde Career College has been a great partner of the RiverKings over the past few seasons," said RiverKings Director of Business Operations David Schmoll. "I’m excited that we were able to continue to build that partnership in 2015-16. We see this as a great partnership between two organizations that are committed to bettering DeSoto County and the surrounding area."

The RiverKings will play their first regular season game on the newly-named Concorde Career College Ice at the Landers Center at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, October 23, the team's home opener. The opponent and the rest of the 56 game regular season schedule will be announced tomorrow.

Concorde Career College provides a quality health care training designed to get people into the workforce fast, much faster than a traditional college or university. Located just a half mile east of Interstate 55 at the intersection of Airways Boulevard and Rasco Road, Concorde’s Southaven college campus location offers the health care training programs students want and employers seek.

The Mississippi RiverKings are proud to be the longest, continually operating sports franchise in the Memphis area, as they begin their 24th season in 2015. The home opener is scheduled for Friday, October 23 at the Landers Center. Groups of 15 or more who purchase a group for that night will receive an identical group package to any other regular season game for free. The "Golden Ticket" package for the home opener is $25 and includes a gold-level ticket and a t-shirt sporting the new RiverKings logo.
