SOUTHAVEN, Miss. -- The Mississippi RiverKings were proud participants in the Junior Auxiliary of DeSoto County’s “Healthy Today, Healthy Tomorrow” fair on Saturday, Mar. 24 at Goodman Oaks Church of Christ.

The fair featured a variety of vendors promoting healthy diet, nutrition and lifestyle choices along with the importance of being physically active to Mid-South children and families.

At the RiverKings booth, fair attendees took their best shot, playing the team's inflatable slapshot game.

RiverKings mascot Sheldon was also on hand mingling with fair goers, and even getting in the physical fitness spirit bouncing around in the bounce house and doing jumping jacks with youngsters from the DeSoto County 4-H Club.

‘JA’ of DeSoto County was founded in 2000, and consists of women members who hope to serve their community through charitable services and events.
