RiverKings sign forward Delisle

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. – Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced today that Dan Delisle has signed a contract with the team. Terms and conditions were not released.

Delisle, 24, was on a three-game tryout contract with the RiverKings, which ended after last night's 5-3 win in Knoxville. The 6-foot-5, 230-pound left wing scored his first goal with the RiverKings last night with an empty net to secure the win. In his first three games with the RiverKings Delisle has one goal and 15 shots. The former third round pick of the Chicago Blackhawks started the season with the Bakersfield Condors in the ECHL, where he played one game. Last season he spent 22 games with the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads, posting four points (1g, 3a) in his first pro season.

To make room for Delisle on the roster the RiverKings waived forward Mike McCann, who had one point in five games with Mississippi.

The RiverKings are back home Tuesday, Dec. 23 for "Festivus" Night. The RiverKings celebrate the holiday "for the rest of us" and fans wearing a tacky sweater can buy one ticket and get one of equal value for free, available at the Landers Center Box Office. Single-game tickets can be purchased at riverkings.com/ticketmaster and groups of 15 or more get a discount, with group tickets starting at $8 per ticket, by calling the front office at 662-342-1755.
