RiverKings sign amateur Pinsler

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced today that the team has signed rookie forward Sam Pinsler to a contract. Terms and conditions were not released.

Pinsler, 24, joins the RiverKings after completing his senior season at SUNY-Cortland. In 24 games this season, the 5-foot-9, 185-pound native of Chicago, Ill. had seven goals and 13 assists. His 20 points on the season ranked third-most on the team.

The RiverKings also released forward Matt Beer. In 21 games with the RiverKings, the 6-foot, 205-pound forward had one goal and four assists. The Corunna, Ont. native was in his second professional season with the RiverKings and split time this season between the RiverKings and FHL Port Huron.
