RiverKings read to Southaven Intermediate School

SOUTHAVEN, Miss - Riverkings defenseman Brandon Vossberg and goalie Spencer McLay visited Southaven Intermediate School on February 10 as part of the "RiverKings Readers Program."

"We're thankful to the RiverKings for showing our students how reading can help them 'score' goals in life," said SIS teacher Shannon Hall. "Our students were so excited to see the players. They will be talking about this for days to come!"

Brandon Vossberg and Spencer McLay read to a group of 200 excited students. RiverThing was on hand to pass around high fives and fist bumps to encourage the children on the importance of reading.

The RiverKings are back on home ice Friday and Saturday February 26 and 27 against the Macon Mayhem. For ticket information, call 662-342-1755 or visit RiverKings.com.
