MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Former RiverKings captain Darrell Stoddard and mascot Sheldon shared hockey stories with the Kindergarten classes of Germanshire Elementary on April 9.

Students were read hockey stories and had the opportunity to ask questions and give Sheldon hugs.

"Our students were really excited to meet Sheldon and Darrell,” Germanshire librarian Joseph Landor said. “We appreciated the time they spent at Germanshire to encourage reading, and to talk about hockey. ‘RiverKings Read’ will definitely become a regular activity for our Pre-K and Kindergarten students."

If you would like Sheldon to visit your school or event, please contact Caitlyn Hutchins at Caitlyn@riverkings.com or 662.342.1755.
