RiverKings lose two to call-up

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. -- Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced that forward Mike Moran and defenseman Chris Leone have been called-up by ECHL Atlanta and Toledo respectively.

Moran, 25, appeared in 19 games with the RiverKings this season after completing a four-year career at Boston University (Hockey East). The 6-foot-1, 200-pound forward notched a team-leading 14 goals and nine assists after joining the team on October 28.

Leone, 25, came to the RiverKings via trade from the Pensacola Ice Flyers on November 2 and appeared in 16 games. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound blueliner had 10 points (4G, 6A) and held a +7 plus/minus rating.

The RiverKings hit the ice tonight as they take on the Knoxville Ice Bears at 6:35 p.m. They return home to the Landers Center on Friday, January 6 as they take on the Peoria Rivermen. For ticket information, call 662-342-1755 or visit riverkings.com.
