The RiverKings picked up all six possible points last week in a busy week that saw the team move to within two games of a playoff spot. The 'Kings started the week with a decisive 4-1 victory over Huntsville at home before the team hit the road and took a 5-1 victory from Columbus and a second 4-1 win over Huntsville in a hostile Von Braun Center. The line of Matt Harrington, Mike MacDonald and Matt Whitehead combined for 15 points over the weekend, while Matt Krahn stopped 82 of 85 shots against as he improved to 13-13-3 on the season with the trio of wins.

WHITEHEAD SETS SPHL SEASON HIGH: With his goal and assist on Friday night, forward Matt Whitehead set the SPHL high for longest point streak at 11 games. Over that span, Whitehead posted 20 points (7G, 13A) and was +11.

STODDARD GETS GOAL #100: RiverKings Captain Darrell Stoddard picked up career goals number 99 and 100 this weekend. Stoddard has spent his entire eight-year career with the RiverKings organization.

PLAYOFF WATCH: With the wins last week and the Augusta loss to Knoxville on Sunday, the RiverKings are one game away from clinching a playoff spot in the 2012-13 playoffs. Any combination of a RiverKings win and Augusta regulation loss clinches a playoff berth.

VIEW FROM BILOXI: The RiverKings return to Biloxi for the first time since their 3-2 overtime victory over the Surge on February 14. The Surge enter the weekend on a three-game losing streak and currently sit in sixth place in the SPHL, just three points ahead of the 'Kings. After a 4-7-2 February, the Surge look to rebound in March, starting the month .500 with a 2-2-1 mark. Forward Brandon Kosolofsky leads the team with nine points in seven games against the RiverKings this season.

VIEW FROM PENSACOLA: The Ice Flyers and RiverKings meet for the final time this season as the visitors look for revenge after their 3-2 overtime loss to the Flyers on home ice on February 5. The Ice Flyers are without forward Ryan Raven for the remainder of the season after breaking his wrist in a recent game against Huntsville. To replace Raven, Pensacola signed veteran forward Dan Buccella. In his first games back, Buccella recorded five points (2G, 3A) in three games. The Ice Flyers enter the weekend on a three-game point streak.

RIVERKINGS TEAM UP WITH ROLLING THUNDER: On Sunday, March 17, the RiverKings have teamed up with Rolling Thunder to benefit the Fisher House. For ever ticket purchased for Sunday's game, the RiverKings will donate $3 to the Fisher House, a project to provide housing to military veterans while they receive medical care away from home. For more information, contact the RiverKings front office at 662-342-1755.

THROWBACK JERSEY AUCTION: On Sunday, March 17, the RiverKings will auction off their throwback jerseys immediately after the game. The auction will be bidder's choice.
