SOUTHAVEN, Miss. -- The Mississippi RiverKings (11-6-2) saw their two-game winning streak come to an end after a 3-2 shootout loss against the Huntsville Havoc (9-8-1).

The Havoc struck first 13:58 into the first period. Mike Gurtler buried a two-on-one pass from Stuart Stefan past Matt Krahn to give Huntsville a 1-0 lead. But the RiverKings responded 30 seconds later on Charles Lachance's sixth goal of the season to tie the game at one heading into the first intermission.

After a scoreless first 19 minutes to the second, the RiverKings took the lead. Corey Fulton's wrist shot beat Kevin Genoe over the glove side to give the RiverKings a 2-1 lead going into the second intermission.

In the third, Huntsville tied the game early. Brian Elser beat Krahn up top from Justin Fox to force overtime.

After a scoreless overtime period, the teams headed to a shootout. Nick Lazorko and Dominic Osman each scored for the Havoc, but the RiverKings could not find the back of the net through four shooters as they fell for the first time in three games.

Matt Krahn (6-1-2) took the loss after stopping 23 of 25 shots against. Kevin Genoe (3-3-1) picked up the win after turning aside 26 of 28 shots against.
