Scouting the Mayhem

The Mayhem enter tonight's game after a 3-2 overtime win on the road in Columbus on Tuesday morning. After starting the season 0-2-1, the league's newest team has points in three straight games, including an overtime loss to the RiverKings on November 6.

Offensively, the Mayhem are lead by rookie forward Daniel Gentzler. After being held scoreless in the season-opening game, the Manhattan Beach, Ca. native had points in four consecutive games (2G, 4A). Gentzler is tied for the league-lead in points amongst rookies with six.

Behind the pipes, the Mayhem have leaned on third-year pro Garrett Bartus. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound native of St. Charles, Ill. has appeared in five of the team's six games and boasts a 2-1-1 record with a 2.34 goals against average and 93.1 save percentage.

This will be the third meeting between the two teams in the young season. The RiverKings have won both contests and have outscored the Mayhem 8-4 in those match ups.

In those two games, the RiverKings have three players with four points. Leo Thomas (4G), Ryan Marcuz (1G, 3A) and Charles Mosey (4A) lead the way for the RiverKings, while Gentzler has three points (1G, 2A) for the Mayhem.
