RiverKings acquire Peppler from Knoxville

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced today that the team has acquired forward Bret Peppler from the Knoxville Ice Bears for future considerations.

Peppler, 31, appeared in 24 games this season for the Ice Bears and collected five goals and seven assists. The 5-foot-9, 185-pound forward spent the past two seasons with the Louisiana IceGators, tallying 39 goals and 21 assists in 99 games.

Peppler will wear number 11 when he joins the team this weekend.

The RiverKings return to Concorde Career College Ice at the Landers Center on Friday, January 22 at 7:05 p.m. in a rematch against the Louisiana IceGators.
