SOUTHAVEN, Miss. -- Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced Tuesday that the team has re-signed defenseman Andrew Randazzo. Terms and conditions were not released.

"'Rando' is very intelligent player who can quarterback the power play," Landmesser said. "He will be relied upon in all situations and adds a lot of character to our locker room."

Randazzo, 23, enters his second season as a member of the RiverKings. The 5-foot-9, 218-pound native of Hamilton, Ontario appeared in 32 games with the RiverKings, registering two goals, 13 assists and 24 penalty minutes. Randazzo missed time last season with injuries, something he hopes to avoid in 2013-14.

"I hated having to sit and watch the guys compete at the end of last season," said Randazzo. "Now, I'm just excited to play and get back on the ice. Hopefully, we can continue what we had going at the end of last season and get to our ultimate goal of a championship."

RiverKings season tickets are on sale now and are available by calling the RiverKings front office at 662-342-1755. Season tickets start at just $225 and payment plans are available.
