Moran returns from ECHL Wichita

SOUTHAVEN, Miss - The Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced today that left wing Mike Moran would return to team after being loaned to ECHL Wichita.

Moran, 25, departed the RiverKings for the ECHL Wichita on February 13. The 6-foot-1, 200 pound forward recieved action in seven games this season between the Atlanta Gladiators and Witchita Thunder in the ECHL. In his first year of professional hockey, the Marshfield, Mass. native tallied 30 points (19G, 11A) in 29 games wtih the RiverKings. The rookie obtained recognition as SPHL player of the week for December 12-18 in 2016.

In order to make room for Moran's return, the RiverKings placed forward John Scully on waivers. Scully, 24, tallied nine games total with Mississippi. Prior to his arrival with the RiverKings, the 6-foot, 190 pounder scored 12 points (8G, 4A) with the Port Huron Prowlers of the Federal Hockey League (FHL).
