SOUTHAVEN, Miss. -- Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced Monday that the team has acquired the rights to defenseman Ricky Helmbrecht from the Augusta RiverHawks in exchange for the rights to forward Paul Lee.

Helmbrecht, 27, began the season with Knoxville before appearing in ten games at the "AA" level with Cincinnati (ECHL), Greenville (ECHL) and Fort Worth (CHL). The 5'10", 170 lbs. native of Odessa, Tex. posted eight points in 26 games with the Ice Bears before having his rights traded to Augusta earlier this season.

Lee, 23, appeared in four games with the RiverKings before his call-up to Trenton (ECHL). During his time with the 'Kings, the 6'2", 205 lbs. native of Garden City, NY posted a goal and an assist. He currently plays for the Greenville Road Warriors (ECHL).
