'Kings Look to Stop Streak This Weekend

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK: Three of the four players the RiverKings added to the lineup last week tallied a point in their first weekend with the ‘Kings. Jeff Carlson added two assists in Saturday night’s game, Chris Campanole tallied a goal in Saturday night’s game and Kory Helowka had an assist in Friday night’s game.

ROOKIES RULE…STILL: Todd Hosmer finds himself still leading all rookies of the SPHL and the team in points with 27 (13G, 14A). Hosmer has ten points (4G, 6A) in his last ten games. Ian Finnerty is fourth among rookies in the SPHL leading in pioints with 23 (11G, 12A). Finnerty has 5 points (3G, 2A) in his last ten games.

VIEW FROM SOUTHAVEN: The 'Kings enter this week's action 1-2-2 in their last five games. The boys hit the road Friday as they take on the Huntsville Havoc in Huntsville on Breland Homes Ice, a team they have beaten in five of their six meetings. Todd Hosmer has tallied seven points (3G, 4A) in six games played against the Havoc and Matt Whitehead has five points (2G, 3A) in six games played. The RiverKings return home and look for their first win against the Surge this season. The Surge are coming off a 5-2 victory last Friday against the RiverKings.

VIEW FROM HUNTSVILLE: The RiverKings and the Havoc meet for the seventh time this season. The Havoc enter this week’s action 1-2-2 in their last five games. The Havoc are coming off of a 5-1 loss to the Mississippi Surge Sunday night. The Surge broke a one goal tie in the second period and scored four unanswered goals to take the win. Huntsville enters Friday's game with one victory against the 'Kings this season that came on December 22 at home. Stuart Stefan has tallied seven points (2G, 5A) in the six games played against the ‘Kings.

VIEW FROM BIOLXI: Before the Mississippi Surge make their way to the Landers Center Saturday night, they will take on the Louisiana Ice Gators on home ice Wednesday night. Against the RiverKings this season, the Surge hold a 5-0-0 record. The Surge enter this week after taking down the Huntsville Havoc 5-1 Sunday. Jay Silvia had four points (3G, 1A) in the game, including the game-winning-goal. Branden Kosolofsky has eight points (2G, 4A) in four games played against the 'Kings this season.
