BACK ON HOME ICE: The Mississippi RiverKings (4-3-2) return to the Landers Center after suffering a 3-2 shootout loss against the Knoxville IceBears. The RiverKings took a two-goal lead into the first intermission, but could not hold on as the IceBears bounced back with goals in the second and third period. Neither team converted in overtime, resulting in a five-round shootout. Nick Walsh scored for the RiverKings, but Emery Olauson matched his goal on the IceBears next shot. In round five, Ricky Helmbrecht beat Matthew Krahn to give the IceBears a victory.

NICE TO SEE YOU: The RiverKings and Ice Flyers meet for the first time this season in a two-game series this weekend. Last year, the two teams met a total of six games and the RiveKings posted a 1-5 record. The Ice Flyers are coming off a 4-3 overtime loss last Sunday against the Huntsville Havoc. The Havoc handed the Ice Flyers their first overtime loss of the season when Ray Ortiz connected on a penalty shot at the 3:10 mark of overtime. Before the Ice Flyers travel to the Landers Center, they will make their to Columbus to face the Cottonmouths Tuesday, November 20th.

FAMILIAR FACE: Gabriel Boutin-Gagnon returns to the Landers Center this Friday night but not in a RiverKings jersey. The Val-d’Or, Quebec native joined the RiverKings in February of last season in a trade with Huntsville. He played in 27 games with the ‘Kings and totaled eight points and 66 penalty minutes.

D-MAN DOWN: Pensacola defenseman Donnie Harris has been placed on the 30 day IR as of November 16. This is the second season in a Pensacola jersey for the Fort Ashby, West Virginia native. Harris has played a total of six games this season and has accumulated one assist and 30 penalty minutes.
