Southaven, Miss. - The Mississippi RiverKings battled back late in the game, but could not net the equalizer as they fell 3-2 to Knoxville as the Ice Bears force a decisive Game 3.

The Ice Bears took a two-goal lead in the first period as Emery Olauson picked up his third goal of the postseason from Kevin Swider and Ricky Helmbrecht at the 7:46 mark. Then, with 37 seconds left to go in the first frame, David Segal put the puck past David Wilson and Knoxville took a 2-0 lead into the first intermission.

Early in the second period, Justin MacDonald cut the 'Kings deficit to one as his backhander cut through a Deven Stillar screen and beat Kyle Rank blocker side.

But Knoxville retook the two-goal lead as Tyler Fletcher's shot from the point beat Wilson low 1:44 into the third period.

With less than a minute to go in the game and the 'Kings on the powerplay, Matt Whitehead pulled the RiverKings within one with 18 seconds left to go in regulation.

But the RiverKings could not net the equalizer as Swider netted an empty net goal as time expired to give the Ice Bears a 4-2 victory to force a decisive Game 3.
