LAFAYETTE, La. -- Four unanswered goals by the Louisiana IceGators () erased a three-goal deficit, as the 'Gators downed the Mississippi RiverKings () 4-3 in Louisiana on Friday night.

The 'Kings struck first early in the first period. Matt Harrington picked up a rebound and slid the puck past Riley Gill to put the visitors up by one just 17 seconds into play. At the 6:54 mark, the RiverKings added to their lead. Kevin Willer's one-timer beat Gill five-hole as the 'Kings entered the first intermission ahead by two.

The second period began just the same as the first for the 'Kings. Just 45 seconds into the middle frame, Ian Finnerty won a face-off in the IceGators zone back to Kory Helowka who's shot beat Gill low to put the RiverKings up by three.

But the 'Gators battled back with a pair of their own in the second. Marc-Andre Carre's shot beat David Wilson high to cut the 'Kings lead to two early in the second before Shawn McNeil collected his own rebound and beat Wilson blocker-side at the 14:08 mark as the RiverKings entered the third period ahead 3-2.

In the third, the IceGators scored early. Kirk Byczynski's wrist shot beat Wilson glove side to tie the game at three just under four minutes into the period. Two minutes later, Byczynski struck again, this time on the power play. His slap shot found the back of the net through traffic to put the 'Gators up 4-3. The IceGators killed off a late power play opportunity by the 'Kings to win their seventh straight.

David Wilson () stopped 32 of 36 shots against in the loss. Riley Gill () turned aside 22 of 25 to pick up his league-leading 24th victory.
