THREE OUT OF SIX: The Mississippi RiverKings tallied three out of six possible points this weekend. The three-in-three game series started with a 4-3 victory in Huntsville Thursday night. The 'Kings were up 4-2 heading into the third period. Huntsville would attempt to bounce back with a goal from Kyle Laughlin midway through the final frame, but the RiverKings held off the Havoc for the remaining of the game. After a 4-3 loss in Knoxville Friday, the 'Kings picked up one point the following night in a nine-round shootout loss on home ice. The RiverKings trailed the Ice Flyers by one goal headed into the third period until Steven Kaunisto netted his first professional goal to send the game into overtime. Mike MacIntyre picked up the lone goal in the shootout as he beat Matt Krahn after nine rounds to take the win for Pensacola.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN: This week, the ‘Kings start their third three-in-three game series this month. Tuesday’s game in Pensacola is number one of the four games in six days for the RiverKings. Game time is at 7:05 p.m. and you can catch the game on Sports 56, 87.7FM, and the America One Network. The RiverKings travel to Knoxville Friday and Huntsville Saturday before making their way back home Sunday to take on the Havoc on home ice. Game time is 3:05 p.m. and tickets are available now through ticketmaster.com and the Landers Center Box Office.

HOT HOSMER: Todd Hosmer has tallied a point in his last four games. The Scarborough, Ontario native has totaled 11 points (4G, 7A) and 35 PIM in 19 games this season, which is 12th best amongst SPHL rookies.

VIEW FROM PENSACOLA: The RiverKings will travel to Pensacola Tuesday as they take on the Ice Flyers for the third time this month. The last time the two teams met in Pensacola, the game was tied at two until 1:43 into the third period when Darrell Stoddard found the back of the net as Patrick Gaul and Mike Baran assisted on what would be the game-winning goal. Stoddard has three points (2G, 1A)  when playing against the Ice Flyers this season. Pensacola netminder Ross MacKinnon's 2.07 is the best amongst SPHL netminders.

VIEW FROM KNOXVILLE: The Ice Bears are coming off of a 4-3 loss to Augusta this weekend. Berkely Scott tallied the first goal for Knoxville, who is currently second in the league leading in points (17G, 11A). The game was tied at one going into the third period, but Augusta took a 4-1 lead with just minutes remaining in the final period of play. Knoxville did try to bounce back with two late goals from Peter Neal and Nate Petterson, but ultimately fell 4-3 on home ice. Knoxville will battle Columbus Thursday night before taking on the RiverKings Friday night at 6:35 p.m. The RiverKings are winless (0-1-1) when playing the Ice Bears this season.

VIEW FROM HUNTSVILLE: Before heading to Southaven on Sunday, the RiverKings will meet the Havoc in Huntsville Saturday night. Huntsville currently holds a four road-game losing streak and is in the last place of the SPHL after losing to Columbus this weekend. Aaron McGill tallied the lone goal for Huntsville in the 5-1 loss. The RiverKings are undefeated (3-0-0) when taking on the Havoc this season.
