OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. — Mississippi RiverKings’ mascot Sheldon the Turtle had a busy day as he attended Healthy Kids Day and March for Babies on April 26.

The RiverKings slapshot inflatable was available at Healthy Kids day for everyone to work on his or her hockey shot.

“Healthy Kids Day is a national YMCA initiative designed to motivate our communities to become more active.” said Senior Wellness and Community Development Director Elizabeth Clark. “Here at the Olive Branch Family YMCA, we have decided to include an annual 5K Run/Walk and a 1 mile Family Fun Run/Walk for those who just are not quite ready to cover the 5K (3.1 mile) distance.”

After Healthy Kids Day, Sheldon put on his walking shoes and went to the March of Dimes March for Babies. Hundreds were there to give Sheldon hugs and high-fives.

If you would like Sheldon to visit your school or event, please contact Caitlyn Hutchins at caitlyn@riverkings.com or 662.342.1755.
