Bullets Pierce the Competition on Their Way to Fall 2015 Championship

HERNANDO, Miss. – The Bullets took down the Super Drugs Raiders, 17-13, in the Jr. StreetKings Fall 2015 Championship at the Hernando Civic Center.

The Fall 2015 season began with the Bullets winning six games in a row to take a commanding lead in the standings. The Super Drugs Raiders and Family Dentistry Sharks battled it out for second place, as the Bullets lost just twice throughout the season.

The Sharks entered the semifinal round as the home team, finishing in second place during the regular season while the Raiders finished in third. In the semifinals, however, the Raiders had the upper hand. With a strong start and a stout defense, the Raiders cruised to the upset win, 22-5. Despite the loss, the Sharks’ Colton Robbins was recognized as the first line Most Valuable Player for the fall season.

The Bullets awaited the Raiders in the Fall 2015 Finals and showed plenty of rust in the first period. Once they got into the flow of the game, the Bullets began to show off the firepower they displayed all season, winning 17-13.

Following the championship, the first and second place trophies were awarded to their respective teams, and special recognition was given to the Bullets’ Landon Ellis and Anthony Botti as the Most Valuable Players on the second and third line respectively.

The Jr. StreetKings Youth Roller Hockey Program introduces area youth and their families to the world of hockey. It develops physical skills, self-confidence, sportsmanship, and teamwork within the context of exciting recreational events.

The league is under the supervision of the Mississippi RiverKings and made possible through generous sponsorships from community partners. Along with the team sponsors, Noah’s Gift was gracious enough to sponsor the league for the entire 2015 year.
