Sheldon visits campers at Camp B.O.L.D

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. – Mississippi RiverKings mascot, Sheldon the Turtle, visited Camp B.O.L.D at Longview Heights Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 23. It is the first of four visits the RiverKings will make to Camp B.O.L.D in the next few weeks. Sheldon walks at CSF Unite@Nite Walk

HORN LAKE, Miss. –  Mississippi RiverKings mascot Sheldon the Turtle participated in the first annual Chiari & Syringomyelia Foundation (CSF) Unite@Nite Walk at Latimer Lakes Park in Horn Lake Sunday evening.  The walk raised money for the Horn Lake chapter of CSF, a national foundation aimed at finding a cure for Chiari malformation (CM), syringomyelia (SM) and related disorders. Coach Landmesser teaches hockey at Blann's Martial Arts Camp

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. –  Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach Derek Landmesser visited Blann's Martial Arts on June 11 to teach their summer campers basic fundamentals of hockey as part of the RiverKings "Sticks are for Kids" program.  Coach Landmesser taught the campers the proper way to hold a hockey stick, how to play as a team and the different ways to shoot and pass. Sheldon promotes literacy at Books & BBQ

MEMPHIS, Tenn. –  Mississippi RiverKings mascot, Sheldon the Turtle, was at the first annual Books and BBQ Saturday, June 6 at the Agricenter in Memphis to promote literacy in the Mid-South and to share information about the RiverKings Readers program. Sheldon lends a hand at the Le Bonheur Cereal Drive

MEMPHIS, Tenn. –  Mississippi RiverKings mascot, Sheldon the Turtle, was on the street collecting donations during the Le Bonheur Cereal Drive to benefit the Mid-South Food Bank Friday, June 5. Sheldon joined volunteers from the Mid-South Food Bank, Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and the Chickasaw Council of the Boy Scouts of America to collect monetary donations to the Mid-South Food Bank. Sheldon greets fans at Super Drugs Pharmacy
