Mississippi’s Rick Hanlon named SPHL Athletic Trainer of the Year

HUNTERSVILLE, NC – The Southern Professional Hockey League on Tuesday announced that Rick Hanlon of the Mississippi RiverKings is the recipient of the 2015-2016 SPHL Athletic Trainer of the Year Award. The winner was determined by a vote of the league’s athletic trainers and equipment managers. RiverKings announce 2016 playoff roster

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced the team's 2016 playoff roster. RiverKings close regular season with thriller over Pensacola

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - Mike Grace tallied the game-winning goal just 93 seconds into overtime as the Mississippi RiverKings (28-18-10) closed their regular season schedule with a 4-3 victory over the Pensacola Ice Flyers (31-20-5) on Saturday night in Southaven. RiverKings open weekend series with loss to Ice Flyers

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - The Mississippi RiverKings (27-18-10) scored an early third-period goal, but could not complete the comeback as the Pensacola Ice Flyers (31-20-4) took the first game of the weekend series 5-3 on Friday night in Southaven. Thomas returns from Fort Wayne as playoff roster takes shape

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced today that forward Leo Thomas has returned from his call-up to ECHL Fort Wayne. Thomas, 34, appeared in 23 games with the RiverKings prior to his call-up and amassed six goals and seven assists. RiverKings throw 47 shots on goal, fall in overtime

LAFAYETTE, La. - The Mississippi RiverKings (27-17-10) threw 47 shots on goal, but they mustered just a point as they fell in overtime, 3-2, to the Louisiana IceGators (25-25-4) on Thursday night in Louisiana. MEMPHIS, Tenn . - The Mississippi RiverKings spent saturday afternoon at Graceland as a part of the Scouts Rock event put on by the Boy and Girl Scouts of America.
