Sheldon Goes to the Fair

 May 19, 2014 HERNANDO, Miss. – Mississippi RiverKings’ mascot Sheldon the Turtle traded in his skates for funnel cakes at the Hernando Optomist Club’s A’Fair on May 17. The day’s events started with a 5K run/walk. Following the run, over 200 booths were on display featuring everything from woodcraft to photography. Jr. StreetKings Spring Season Goes Down to the Wire

By: Colby Dorris colby@riverkings.com May 20, 2014 HERNANDO, Miss. – The Jr. StreetKings Youth Roller Hockey league concluded its 2014 Spring Regular Season with one of the closest finishes in recent memory. The season began with 13 new players ranging ages 4-14. Altogether, the spring saw a 20 percent increase from the prior season with a total of 47 players signed up.
